    Enchanting Kashmir

    Suggested Itinerary

    Day 1: Srinagar 

    On arrival at Srinagar, you will be met by our representative and transfer you to Hotel. Later Visit  Indira Gandhi Memorial Tulip garden, previously Model Floriculture Centre, is a tulip garden in Srinagar, in the Indian union territory of Jammu and Kashmir. In the evening Shikara ride on The Dal Lake to enjoy the beauty that God has graced this city with which is often compared to Venice. You will get a view of some very interesting places around the Lake. This ride can be followed by shopping in Srinagar. The famous shopping items are saffron, dry fruits, pashmina shawls, carpets, miniature houseboats, etc. Overnight at Srinagar.

     


    Day 2: Srinagar – Gurez Valley (123 km, 4 to 5 hours of drive)

     After breakfast  drive towards Gurez valley via Bandipora district of Jammu and Kashmir. Since Gurez is located in the Himalayas, the drive towards it would be an incredible experience. The beauty of nature is a treat to the eyes. During the drive, visit Razdon top located at an altitude of 11,672 feet. The roads leading to Razdon top will make your blood rush high. On reaching the Razdon top, you can see the highest peak of the Himalayas, Harmukh Peak. On reaching Gurez valley, check in to your hotel, take dinner and prepare for an overnight stay at Gurez Valley.

     


    Day 3: Gurez Valley to Gulmarg (136 km, 4 to 5 hours of drive)

     After breakfast  drive towards Gulmarg , half day tour of Gulmarg which is one of the most beautiful summer resorts in the valley. It is also   popular    for its   golf course   (in summer), the highest in the world   and   Skiing during the winter season. Enjoy the splendour of nature and the snowy mountains.

     


    Day 4 : Gulmarg – Doodpathri – Gulmarg (66 km, 2 to 3 hours of drive per way)

    After breakfast leave for full day excursion to Doodpathri. It is located in khan sahab area of Budgam district. Situated at an altitude of 2,730 metres (8,960 ft) from sea level, it is located at a distance of 42 km from Srinagar. Doodhpathri lies in a bowl shaped valley in the Pir Panjal Range of the Himalayas. It is an alpine valley covered with snow clad mountains and the meadows of Pine Fir and Deodar. The natural meadows, which are covered with snow in winter, allow the growth of wild flowers such as daisies, forget-me-nots and butter cups during spring and summer. Return for Dinner & overnight stay Hotel.

     


    Day 5: Gulmarg  – Pahalgam (140 km, 4 to 5 hours of drive)

    After breakfast, depart from Gulmarg  and drive to Pahalgam 2440 Mtrs (Vale of Kashmir) on the way visit Saffron fields and Avantipur ruins which is eleven hundred years old temple. Finally by the lunch time you will reach Pahalgam which is the most famous place for Indian Film Industry. Then  enjoy the nature charm of the valley. Overnight at Hotel. You can also Opt for River rafting and horse riding.

     


    Day 6: Pahalgam

    Day to enjoy the beauty of the Pahalgam valley and explore Pahalgam on your own. Sightseeing of Aru, Chandanwari and Bhetab valley (using local union time bound vehicle on own cost)/


    Chandanwari at 2,895 m and 16 km (10 miles) from Pahalgam, is the starting point of the Amamathyatra. The road from Pahalgam to Chandanwari is curvy, sometimes a relatively flat terrain, with quite a few steep curves. It can be undertaken by car (not busses and trucks for most part) with some skilled driving. From Chandanwari onwards the track becomes much steeper, being accessible on foot or by pony only. 11 km from Chandanwari is the mountain lake of Sheshnag, after which, 13 km away is the last stop, Panchtarni. A narrow spiralling path from Panchtarni leads to the Amarnath Cave. ARU A small village, 11 kms upstream the Lidder River, is a beautiful locality. The route is picturesque with ample campsites. This village is the starting point for treks to the Kolahoiglacier. This charming meadow can be reached by walking along a mountain path. The river Lidder disappears at GurKhumb and reappears after 27 mts.

    Betab Valley, situated just 7 km up on Pahalgam, has got its name from Sunny Deol’s movie, Betab, which was shot extensively in this area. Surrounded by snow-covered mountain peaks and dense pine and deodar forests, this valley is the mouth of River Sheshnag. There is a beautiful garden in the valley, with a bridge to cross the river. The Pahalgam Development Authority has proposed to develop this valley as a beautiful holidaying spot and is thus, carrying out several construction activities in the region.


    Afternoon visit to Poshwan Park, Deer Park and Amusment park Overnight at the hotel  in Pahalgam.

     


    Day 7: Pahalgam   - Srinagar (90 km, 3  hours of drive)

    Transfer from Pahalgam to Srinagar. On arrival check in at Hotel. Later tour of world famous Mughal Gardens visiting the Nishat Bagh (The garden of pleasure), Shalimar Bagh (Abode of love) and Botanical  Garden. Overnight Stay at Hotel in Srinagar.

    Day 8: Srinagar to Sonmarg Day Trip (90 km, 3  hours of drive)

    After breakfast leave for full day excursion to Sonmarg / Gagangeer (Subject to weather conditions). Situated at an altitude of 9000 Ft. Sonmarg – 84 Kms is also called as “The meadow of gold” has, as its backdrop, snowy mountains against a cerulean sky. The Sindh River that meanders through the valley abounds with trout and mahaseer. Ponies can be hired for the trip up to Thajiwas Glacier, which is a major local attraction during the summer. Evening 01 Hour Boat Ride on Dal Lake by a gondola Boat called “SHIKARA” witness the ride on lake, called Venice of India & experience the aquatic life of Srinagar. Also see the scenic extravaganza of the Kashmir and enjoy the profusion of colors in the Paradise on Earth. While returning visit to the local crafts market and see the fine carved hand-made articles from Paper Mashie & wood of a walnut. Optional: Pony Ride / Thajiwas Glacier & Zero Point Sightseeing

    Return back to Srinagar & Overnight Stay at Hotel.

     


    Day 9:  Srinagar – Return Journey

    Transfer in time to Srinagar airport to connect flight for onwards destination.
