    A 10-Day Premium Journey Through the Land of a Thousand Hills

    Day 1: Arrival in Kigali 

    Arrive at Kigali International Airport, where guests enjoy VIP assistance and a private transfer to a boutique hotel overlooking the city’s serene hills. Evening at leisure or an optional fine-dining experience featuring contemporary Rwandan cuisine. Stay: The Retreat by Heaven / Kigali Serena Hotel  

    Day 2: Kigali – Culture & Connection 

    Begin the day with a guided city tour including the Kigali Genocide Memorial, local artisan markets, and a coffee tasting at a specialty roastery. Enjoy lunch at a stylish restaurant before returning to the hotel for an evening of relaxation. 

    Day 3: Akagera National Park – Savannah Safari 

    Drive east to Akagera National Park, Rwanda’s only savannah park, home to the Big Five. Afternoon game drive followed by sundowners overlooking Lake Ihema. Stay: Magashi Camp by Wilderness Safaris / Ruzizi Tented Lodge 

    Day 4: Akagera – Big Five Encounters 

    Morning and afternoon game drives reveal elephants, lions, giraffes, and hippos. Optional boat cruise on Lake Ihema for birdwatching and crocodile sightings. 

    Day 5: Journey to Nyungwe Forest 

    Fly or drive to Nyungwe Forest National Park, a vast montane rainforest rich in biodiversity. Settle into a luxury lodge amid misty hills and tea plantations. Stay: One&Only Nyungwe House

     Day 6: Chimpanzee Tracking & Canopy Walk

    Early morning trek in search of wild chimpanzees — an exhilarating experience as they call and swing through the treetops. Afternoon canopy walk across suspended bridges high above the forest floor.

    Day 7: Lake Kivu – Serenity on the Shores

    Travel north to Lake Kivu, one of Africa’s great lakes. Enjoy a relaxing afternoon by the water, kayaking, or exploring nearby fishing villages. Sunset cocktails on the terrace complete the day.

     Day 8: Volcanoes National Park – Into the Mist

    Drive to Volcanoes National Park, the sanctuary of the mountain gorilla. Evening briefing from expert guides on the next day’s trek, followed by dinner beside a roaring fire.

     Day 9: Gorilla Trekking Experience

    Set out at dawn through dense bamboo forests to encounter a family of mountain gorillas — a rare, humbling experience. Spend an unforgettable hour observing these gentle giants before descending back to the lodge for a celebratory meal and spa relaxation.

    Day 10: Volcanoes → Kigali / Departure


    • Leisurely breakfast with misty mountain views.
    • Drive or optional helicopter transfer to Kigali (2.5 hrs).
    • Visit Kigali Crafts Market or Question Coffee Café for souvenirs.
